Winter Boots Diffuser Blend Recipe

Winter Boots Diffuser Blend Recipe

It's January in New England. 31 long days that seem like they must be at least 66 days. As you can probably tell, January makes me a bit salty. In fact, there's nothing that gets my goat more than salt on my car, salt on my winter boots, and ESPECIALLY salt in my entryway.

I digress. I will say there are a few things that I look forward to experiencing in January. One of those things is a fresh snowfall and sledding with my kids on a 34F sunny day. (It can happen...) Putting on my favorite furry Sorel boots and tromping through the pure snow.

But then taking off all that wet and cold outerwear, turning on the fireplace and filling up the diffuser with a woodsy and refreshingly minty recipes. Ahhh all is well.

I love the smell of Siberian Fir, but once the Christmas tree is down I feel the need to balance it out with the minty freshness of Wintergreen.

Recently, I discovered that Siberian Fir has other hats to wear, besides aiding our fake Christmas tree in the aroma department. It's great for soothing anything from anxiety to muscle tension.

The Siberian fir tree is a tall, light in color, conifer tree native to Russia and Canada. Siberian Fir essential oil has a refreshing, woody scent that is known for its calming and relaxing properties. Siberian Fir has a unique chemical composition that is predominately bornyl acetate, which provides a majority of the easing benefits of this essential oil. Siberian Fir can be very soothing to the skin, making it an ideal essential oil to add to a comforting massage. When diffused, Siberian Fir can help promote feelings of easy breathing, while calming the emotions and providing a grounding effect.

  • After strenuous activity, massage into skin for soothing comfort.
  • When working through difficult circumstances at home, work, or school, diffuse Siberian Fir to help reduce stress.
  • Apply topically to skin to help soothe minor skin irritations.
  • Inhale deeply and experience the refreshing aroma.
