RIP Jamestown Bridge

Rhode Island will say goodbye to the old Jamestown Bridge today. Demolition of the old bridge is scheduled to occur between 10am and 2pm today and if you can't make it down to North Kingstown or Jamestown, you can check it out at Channel 10's website Turnto10.com

I'm on there as we speak (damn the resrictions of a 9 to 5 job!) and Governor Carceiri is having a press conference. Remarks about how scary it was to drive over the old bridge by politicians...etc, etc, what a feat it was to get funding to demolish this bridge etc. etc.

Whoaaa that was pretty cool. The whole center span dropped into the ocean. The old Jamestown Bridge has always been a part of my Rhode Island and now Narragansett Bay looks naked!
