East Coast Blizzard of 2010

It seems as though the Blizzard of 2010 is finally coming to a close. I'm still bitter and sore over the massive shoveling job we had to complete just so our driveway couldn't hold us hostage anymore. Not to mention the fact that it was snowing and blowing the entire time! I want my vacation day back!!

Yesterday, as the storm was starting, we had just arrived home from visiting Matt's parents so got a chance to settle in and enjoy being snowed in for the night. Then, around 12:30 a.m. we lost power and went to bed with heaps of blankets since no power=no heat! Luckily, the power came back on at 5:30 a.m. and by that time the temperature had only dipped to 58 degrees in our bedroom.

We woke up to so much snow! Somewhere around 16.5 inches. We're just grateful that the power and heat came back on and we could stay warm before heading out to shovel all afternoon. In fact, I think I'm still defrosting!
